“Silence Please!” – Excitement paired with anticipation. It’s about to start – the tension rises! But it doesn’t start, it stays quiet. There is no applause, the halls remain empty and the props gather dust. Usually, art and culture turn the world upside down, but now a virus has claimed that role for itself. To make sure, the show can go on under the current circumstances, it now says:
“... and action” – From theater actors to stage technicians to choreographers, we have photographed various people from the cultural field in an experimental way. Here we highlight the characteristics of their respective professions, which they cannot practice at the moment. In this way, we bring back a piece of art and culture for everyone in the form of a digital “stage” – and all without the risk of infection!
The German title of this project is „Ruhe bitte!“, which means “Silence please!” in English. This project is a collaboration with Milena Schilling.
