A Walk with the Black Swan
Overthwrown plans, closed shops and restaurants, masks, toilet paper, and fences that suddenly revealed borders that we otherwise didn't even know where exactly they run along. The coronavirus pandemic has affected us all. Collectively, we experienced drastic changes in our everyday life. For me, it was the first time my life was directly hit by the news headlines.
Photographic walks through my orphaned hometown Konstanz, which was separated from Kreuzlingen on Lake Constance by a temporary border fence, interrupted the routine of staying at home. The result is an interpretation of my experience, a visualization of my forced and gained new free time.
I combined my photos with the most absurd headlines I had caught on the news during this time. The project is put into a physical form by a newspaper-like magazine.
